Activity
Overall, we maintain a day to day participation across a very wide spectrum of the city’s affairs, and we are involved in all major planning issues.
Our Planning Sub-Committee meets fortnightly to monitor all planning applications, commenting where appropriate. Our representatives:
- attend and speak at the city council’s Area Committee Meetings
- attend the Strategic Development Control Committee meetings
- participate in discussions with developers and residents at early stages in the planning process, often leading to applications being modified acceptably.
Many planning applications cannot be divorced from their transport and traffic implications. The Planning and Transport Sub-Committees maintain close liaison, with some members attending both.
