Progress

We have recently been involved in consultations on:

• the City Council’s new Supplementary Planning Documents,
• the Area Action Plan for the West End
• Master Plans for the proposed redevelopment of sites such as the Radcliffe Infirmary, Brookes University, Oxford and Cherwell College
• a number of individual college developments, as well as Conservation Area Appraisals, the Oxford Local Plan and the South East Regional Plan

Following our representations on the Westgate planning application, significant improvements were made to the provision for cyclists.

 

In 2006, Our Planning Sub-Committee scrutinised 800 applications and submitted written comments to Oxford City Council on 112. Approximately half these applications were refused planning permission and others were significantly improved from the original proposals
