Achievements
In February 2008, we published “The Bus Stops Here”, a booklet which explores the vitally important question of how best to encourage greater use of public transport and, thus, reduce dependence on the private car.
In April 2008, members resident within the city boundaries contributed to a questionnaire seeking their experiences of bus journeys. This identified a major problem of connectivity on certain journeys. These findings will be discussed with bus companies and Council Officers.
We have made significant contributions to the development of:
- bus routes
- ticketing strategy
- improvements in Park and Ride
- camera enforcement.
